Campaigning

Severe M.E Day – 8th of August 2026

A day to remember everyone who is suffering or who has ever suffered from Severe and Very Severe Myalgic Encephalomyelitis.

Severe M.E Day

A day to honor

A day to honor the strength of spirit of all those who have endured and continue to endure decades of suffering and profound physical dysfunction and yet receive little, or no recognition or help, but rather continue to experience gross misrepresentation and misinterpretation of their illness and profound disability.

New Resource for Unpaid Carers to mark Carers and severe me Week co-produced by 25% ME Group and The ME Association

To mark Carers AND Severe ME Week, we were delighted to announce that our resource, which we co-produced with the ME Association, Caring for Caregivers is now available from the 25% ME Group website.

As organisations, we realised there were few resources available for unpaid carers and wanted to address this. In order to better capture the current experiences of unpaid carers of people with severe and very severe ME, the 25% ME Group and the ME Association ran focus groups covering healthcare, social care and caring in general in 2024 with a group of carers. As we find when working with people with severe ME/CFS, the carers were keen to share their experiences to aid and inform others. We would like to give a huge thanks to the carers who took part.

Covering a range of topics, Caring for Caregivers aims to put the information carers, particularly of people with severe and very severe ME need in one comprehensive resource.

We will have 2 versions of the Booklet on the Severe ME webpage. One will be the full version, which will have the pictures and the other that we just be a text version, incase you want to print it off and don’t want to use a load of ink
We hope you find the booklet useful for your needs and refer back to it, when you have need for it. Thanks
